PROBLEM STATEMENT

Plastic bottles pollute our environment, and their production contributes significantly to global warming. The annual production of 50 billion plastic bottles requires 1.5 million liters of oil. Plastic bottles are typically made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which generates greenhouse gases and takes more than 400 years to degrade naturally. A total of three tons of carbon dioxide are produced during the production of plastic bottles, which corresponds to 0.12% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, there are currently no signs of a reduction in plastic consumption. On the contrary: one million plastic bottles are purchased every minute. Plastic production is expected to double in the next 20 years and quadruple by 2050. Furthermore, of these immense quantities, around 91% of all bottles worldwide are not recycled. While Switzerland recycles more, its consumption is significantly above the EU average.

It is therefore time to act.

One way to counteract this negative trend is to use reusable stainless steel bottles. By meeting your daily drinking water needs with free, high-quality tap water available in our country and using our Impact bottles, you are making a sustainable contribution to protecting our environment.
